Planning a facelift is very important as it needs a personalised approach to each individual person. At the consultation, the surgeon will evaluate the face and discuss desired goals and deal with any unrealistic expectations. The surgeon also shares your ideas and expectations and addresses any concerns and answers your queries.

During this pre-operative consultation, we will take medical history and give specific guidelines on eating, drinking, smoking and taking or avoiding certain vitamins and medications.

There are different ways of doing a face lift but at Doctors Makeover we perform mini facelifts under local anaesthesia with good results. This means it is safer, affordable and one is able to walk away straight after the procedure.

The facelift operation lasts approximately 2 hours and one might feel discomfort, bruising and some swelling which lasts up to about a week or two, at the site of the operation. Bruising can be disguised with special camouflage makeup.

A facelift is a clean surgery operation and the complications are very rare but one needs to be aware of them and the surgeon will discuss the risks at the consultation and answer any questions.
