What is the difference between Vaser Liposelection and traditional liposuction?
Vaser Liposelection is different from traditional liposuction in many ways.
In traditional liposuction the tissues including fatty tissues are forcefully vacuumed out or torn away by avulsion. Therefore, liposuction is a non-specific and a more invasive procedure. However, Vaser Liposelection is fatty tissue selective and tends to give a smooth and even result compared with occasional uneven results with traditional liposuction. It is thought that carrying out liposuction on one side and Vaser liposelection on the other side love handles (hips) gives a smarter, more sculpted, satisfaction and less discomfort to the client.
Vaser Liposelection combines the advance ultrasound technology with the benefits of non-traumatic surgical techniques.
Vaser Liposelection allows the surgeon to precisely use measured local anaesthetic and Vaser Liposelection has different probes which are designed to deliver measured and precise ultrasonic energy levels to a small and large area of fatty deposits. It is claimed that only Vaser Liposelection has the ability and precision to emulsify fat with the diffused energy via small solid grooved probes and then aspirate emulsified fat with massage and cannulae that are designed with minimal tissue trauma in mind. Vaser Liposelection probes are smooth with a rounded tip. They are relatively small in size (2.2 – 3.7mm in diameter) without cutting edges as was a feature in previous generations of ultrasound devices.
Vaser Liposelection energy emulsifies the fatty tissue for easy and relatively non traumatic aspiration by the same equipment without damaging the matrix and remaining architecture and scaffolding of the tissues. Therefore, in Vaser Liposelection the skin retraction and tightening is more likely to be enhanced.
